In Winter 2021 the BBC sent a full film crew with credible famous actors to use our school setting for a brand new tv drama. This was based on the book by Kit Da Waal called My Name Is Leon and features the West Midlands born, Lenny Henry. It premieres on BBC2 this Friday. Keep your eyes peeled for the hospital scene (filmed in our Oakdale Centre, before it became occupied) and the classroom which had a change of furniture and was filmed in the current 2K classroom! How exciting!
