Reception’s Environment Walk – We enjoyed a cold walk around Muntz Park looking for litter and thinking about how it impacts animal habitats.

RDB on their bug hunt last week. They were looking at the habitats of wildlife in their surrounding area. They were using a tally chart system to record their findings.
Reception’s STEAM project for Science Week has been to build a habitat for a hedgehog. The children designed their habitats and then works in groups to create it.
RH have been learning about Fairtrade. We discovered that farmers should be paid fairly for the produce they grow and sell. We made our own fairtrade bananas and role played selling our produce in a fair way.

RH have been showing a lot of curiosity about our class Common Wealth Games country of Australia. We used a globe to find Australia and found lots of other interesting countries too!
