This week we visited Soho House in Birmingham to learn more about the past. We had a tour of the rooms in the house and learnt about the life of Mary Seacole. Some children even dressed up as Mary Seacole, William Russell and Florence Nightingale to help tell the story. We spent time exploring artefacts, for example, a lantern, medicine box and toy doll, just like the ones Mary Seacole would have used. We had a fantastic time and learnt so much. We really enjoyed our journey through Birmingham on the top deck of the bus too!
